So I have this jean jacket. I got it my freshman year of college. So I've had it for .... well, a decade, to be totally honest. My grandma got it for me fore Christmas. I don't know what she spent on it, but it was well worth it.

A few weeks ago, a best friend confronted me about the jacket. We had an intervention. It was time for a new jean jacket. Seriously, there are holes in the elbows. Every year when I get it out, Colin groans.

So now, in the spirit of Amy's Bargain's of the Week (should this be a weekly feature?), let me just tell you that I got a new one for $10. It was originally $30 (which I would have totally spent), marked half off and then I had a 30% off coupon. I felt pretty awesome. There were only three left in the store. One in my size. Aforementioned best friend was nice enough to grab it for me before someone else got it.

See my new buddy here. Get used to it. It'll be around for 10 years or so.

Oh, and PS I have a whole post coming about Halloween. Two weeks later. Anticipation runs wild.

Oh I hate saying good bye to clothing that has been so good to you. I understand the pain but super excited for the new jacket and the great find!

Yay! I'm glad they had it!

I got a new denim jacket this summer - it is so dark and crisp - I like it, and wear it, but its just not the same as my old (from college) worn-out one. I have tried several times to include it in bags I send to goodwill - but each time I end up rescuing it, unable to say goodbye.

I'm glad we have this bond to share.

I can't really fit into any of my clothes from my freshman year of college, so thats pretty impressive! I hope to see that jacket rocking the OC gym at a b-ball game in the near future

Cute! Did I see miss K sporting on the other day? Did you find one for her?

Your new one looks just like mine! Got it at Gap last year. However, I still have the old one you bought for me--can't let it go for some reason.

I like the new one. Looks kinda "fitted" so should be flattering. Mine is old, faded and boxy and not so flattering, but I can't part with it...yet. Maybe if I could find one for $10!!! Way to go!

I agree with AK, it's hard to say good-bye. I like the new jacket. It's very 80s.

Hey look! Is this the one we saw at book club a ways back? If so...I thought it was still good to go. I'm sure having a new one is awesome though...and good work with the discounts! Can't beat that! :)
