Turn and face the strange

Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes
What?
Oh hi, sorry. I forgot what I was doing. Where was I? Oh, yeah. Changes. So after me discussing Cason's pre-school here and here (and possibly here as well), it was all for naught. He's going this week and that will probably be it. No, we didn't get mad at the baptists. Last Tuesday (while Cason was at his first day of pre-school), I got a phone call out of nowhere. I was offered a job teaching at the pre-school at our church. So after much thoughtful consideration, Colin and I decided that would be the best thing for our family right now. Both kids will go with me, two days a week. I am going to hate being away from Kendall those five hours BUT the director assured me that I can nurse her whenever I need to, and hold her if I want to. It's a very laid back atmosphere. And it will give our budget some much needed wiggle room. So yay for that. I'm very excited to do something different. And I'm happy that Cason will be at a place where people know and love him.
So there you go. Also, do you love my new layout? I hope you do because it involved much blood sweat and tears. Not really. Those of you that know my husband, know that once he puts his mind to something (like, turning my blog into three columns) there is no stopping him. Which is why when I asked him the other night at 11pm if he knew how to make a favicon (the little heart up there next my blog name), he GOT OUT OF BED to figure it out. And there you are. Poof. I have a heart icon now. It's heart because my website is 'the heart of life.' Get it? I'm sure you do. I'll shut up now.

I did notice the heart :-) (completely makes sense, by the way - but I've had all of my caffeine, which helps)
yay for the plan - too bad the baptists will have to miss out on Mr. C this year.
Their loss.
:-)
So awesome! You'll love it and it means you can buy iTunes cards to download music without discussion. Yay!
And maybe some more coffee, though it would be worth it to give up a few Starbucks to stay at home with your kids. Just something to think about...
Jessica, you make me laugh. For so many reasons.
Good for you!
Oh I'm so jealous about the Heart! I wish my husband knew how to do things other than give me the feeling that my head's about to explode...Oh, and congrats on the job!
Congratulations on your new job. It sounds like a great opportunity.
Hey! Congrats on the job! I was just talking to Jenny V. today and she said that it looks like you guys will be teaching together - You are going to love her - I'm sure it will be a lot of fun (as much fun as a room full of 4-5 year olds can be)!
So excited that you'll be at SSS. I saw your name on the list but wasn't for sure if it was "the" Emily White! I taught there this summer and it was great. You'll like it and the girls will be in the nursery together!
Melody, I think you may have started something. From now on, I will only be referred to as and answer to "THE" Emily White.
I found you- yeah! You did forget to mention that your new coteacher ROCKS! Can't wait to get started!! Lvoe the favicon by the way..
Good to see you on here too! I just started to teach pre-school today. I have to warn you, it was quite crazy just because it was the 1st day of school and there was so much going on. The first month will be a transition period. I watch a 1 year old part-time and the hardest part of my day was just getting a 1 and 2 year old, 2 diaper bags, 1 lunch box, 1 nap mat, and my stuff for teaching all from the car into the school. I am seriously thinking about bringing a wagon from now on. Good luck with the new job. It really is the best of both worlds because you bring in come income but your kids get to get an education and socialization for free!
Oh, isn't it fun working through layout stuff? Oh by fun I mean horrible and frustrating, but worth it in the end.
Love your blog. Plus, it's good to find bloggers in Oklahoma. I will be back.
