Dear la Madeline brownie,

Wow, we had some really good times together this past weekend. You are everything that I look for: rich and dark. Although you were covered in nuts, I was able to overlook that for the sake of our relationship, and I'm so glad that I did or I never would have known the depths of your chocolaty layers.
I'm not going to lie though, brownie. I still think about the chocolate croissant that I could have chosen. I think about what my life would have been like had I picked the flaky pastry. Who knows where the relationship would have gone. But I picked you, brownie. And I'm so glad that I did. I don't regret that decision; even when other girls wanted bites of you, I didn't mind.
I still think about you. I think about what you must be doing and who must but enjoying you now. But no matter what happens in our relationship, even if I never see you again, we'll always have Dallas.

Love truly,
Emily
