That would be Colin. Well, maybe not technically the best week ever but definately the best October ever. We were just coming down off the softball high when out of nowhere, the Cardinals win the world series! Now under normal circumstances I would have been rooting for Detroit, just because I like to bother Colin, but since the guys on ESPN did not even believe that the Cards could have a chance that made me mad, so I pulled for the Cardinals. Plus, with an OU and OSU win and a USC loss, this might be the best sports time of Colin's life. Anyway, I think 2006 is shaping up to be a pretty good year for Colin since we also welcomed Cason into the family. So congratulations Colin're having the Best Week Ever!

ps...Halloween party was great; I'm a bad mom and forgot the camera but Lori and Deidra are going to hook me up so I'll post 'em when I get 'em.

In case you haven't heard the wonderful news, the Lady Titan softball team capped off a 41-2 season by winning the state championship. It was a very fun and exciting weekend. Although I am glad to have Colin back in my life for a few months, it is a little bittersweet to end such a great season. People have been coming out of the woodwork to congratulate Colin. As he says, everyone likes you when you win. Anyway, I included some pictures of the weekend and a few links to some stories that ran in the Oklahoman. I would like to give a big shoutout to Oklahoman sports columnist Justin Harper who has been talking to Colin more than I have lately. Hey Justin - next time you talk to Colin, tell him his wife says hi.

Ok, so I was in a discussion the other night with a certain sister in law (Laini...although I think that Clelyn would agree with her) about what show was better Grey's Anatomy or Lost. For those of you that don't know, I had to quit watching Grey's because I realized I was getting mad at all the stupid characters making stupid decisions (case in point: Meredith picking McDreamy last night - what is she doing?). So which show is actually better?
Grey's: Cute doctors
Lost: Cute doctor
Grey's: Good music
Lost: Good location ( I think Hawaii beats a hospital)
Grey's: dumb people making dumb decisions in a hospital
Lost: dumb people making dumb decisions on an island
Lost: a millionare (Hurely)
Grey's : a millionare (apparently Izzy)
Winner: Lost - it's way more addicting than Grey's and I think you have to be smart to like it. Although it is frustrating how nothing ever gets explained; we never know what is really going on; there is all these crazy things that we are supposed to pick up on (example: Henry Gale Minnesota is an acronym for Another Man is Lying -huh?); and now thanks to Josh and Jen I have to watch video on the internet! I hate Lost. I hate how much I love it.

Ok, it should be noted that in the pictures in my last post of Cason eating, he was screaming his head off and then once the camera was brought out, the firstborn in him came out and he was all smiles. Anyway, we had the Carl Albert homecoming parade today and it was really fun. Cason had alot of candy thrown to him but unfortunately, he can't enjoy it. Since it was a "family outing" as Colin called it, that meant Sunny came. I thought she would go nuts but she did really good. She pretty much just layed there. I think she may have eaten a Whopper or two but for anyone who knows what all that dog has eaten, a whopper is not going to hurt her. She did get alot of stickers (or goatheads or whatevery you call them) in paws and that was not very much fun for her. The pictures are of Cason and Sunny (duh), the softball team (who won the regional and is going to the state tournament next week) and the softball representatives on the homecoming court. Also, I'm changing the font that I post in. I like this one better.

Cason had his six month check-up today and everything looked great. The best news? He doesn't have to get shots again until he's one. He did get five today though and he did pretty good. He only cried for a minute and then fell asleep. He's still sleeping it off. She said developmentally he is right on target or a little ahead (he's a genius). Here is look at Cason's life at six months old:

Height: 26 1/2 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 18 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile)
Head circumference: 17 1/2 inches (52nd percentile)
Favorite toy: his feet
Crawling: not quite yet
Loves: his mommy

The next big adventure is solid foods. The doc said pretty much anything goes at this point but honey and peanut butter. She also said not to give him anything sugary like chocolate ice cream. Oops.
