Well, for all those who have been on the edge of his or her seat wanting to know how the NL Central is going to turn out, we could have a pretty good idea tonight one way or the other so GO ASTROS! It really has been the topic around our house. I wish that I could say that Colin and I are mature enough to just be happy for the other person but we all know that's not true. Instead we have spent our time fighting about whether Cason is going to wear Astros or Cardinals and making fun of the other person's team. Ahhh's wonderful. Anyway besides all that, here is what is going on in our life.....

Colin: His softball girls are hosting the regional tournament next week and hopefully all will go well. Homecoming is on Friday and I think that he is driving a cool car in it so that should be fun. I think he wanted to drive and hold Cason ala Britney Spears but I don't see that happening.

Emily: Cason andI got back Thursday night from Houston and it was a great trip. Cason slept both ways on the plane so I can't complain. We hung out, shopped and watched the Astros beat up on the Cardinals. Also, another important development has happened...When Cason was less than a week old, I took off my beloved charm bracelet to feed him and set it on the couch and (of course) forgot about it. I KNEW I left it there but I could not find it, I turned the house upside down on several occasions looking for it and I had resigned myself to the fact that I would never see it again. I couldn't think about without getting sick. Yesterday the thought just came to me to turn the couch upside down so I did and there it was, stuck in the grooves on the underside of the couch. I felt like the lady in the bible who lost her coin and then found it. Only I didn't call anyone, although I wanted to but I felt retarded. My son was lost but now is found...

Cason: I can't believe he is almost six moths old! He'll get his six month shots on Tuesday. Now we are teaching him how to sleep through the night again since he forgot. He got lots of new clothes and shoes in Houston. He also made a new friend named Scout.
I'll write more later...enjoy the pics!

Here is a picture of Cason playing in his pack n play. He will just sit in there and play while I can actually get a few things done. Cason has now entered the world of grocery cart sitting. He sits in the cart like a big boy. And since he is into grabbing everything, yesterday at Hobby Lobby, he knocked down like eight cartons of wood glue. On Sunday we went out to eat and he was grabbing everything off the table, throwing it on the floor and eating our napkins. Colin said we were never going to take him out to eat again. And the fun is just now beginning.... He went to the doctor on Monday and he weighs 17 lbs and is 25 and 3/4 inches (50th persentile in both). Cason and I are leaving tomorrow to fly to Houston. I am sure that we will have a great time and Colin will probably enjoy us being gone. Although Sunny will miss us during the day I am sure. I will take lots of pictures while I am there for everyone to see. I played bunco last night and I won (of course). I was told that Cason did good while I was gone. Or maybe Colin and Laini were lying to me. Who knows.

Well, today was not a good day overall for the White house in sports. This morning the softball team lost. The score was 2-1 and they threatened to come back in the bottom of the ninth. Colin took it fairly well although he is still dwelling on it and probably will for awhile. To add insult to injury, as most of you know the Sooners lost in what some would call a questionable game. Aaron was here watching the game and let's just say there was an abundance of yelling (but no swearing). Cason and I went to the other room and Sunny quickly followed an hid under the bed. Anyway, you might pray for us and the healing that needs to take place. Just kidding. Not really.

Here is Cason with his best buddy (Sunny) and sucking on the blanket on his bouncy seat. I don't know why he does that. Right now he is sucking on his Flatso book. Yum. For those of you wondering, I do put clothes on my child... he just poops, pees, spits up or gets food on them (or some combination thereof) everyday. Also, I want to encourage everone to listen to Glen Beck's radio show on Fridays. Moron trivia is hilarious. Posted by Picasa

Well, this is my first blog post and I'm very excited. Now everyone can keep up on what is going on in our life (I know ya'll are dying to do so). Tonight Cason and I went to Colin's softball game. The Carl Albert girls are 24-0 and ranked number 1 in the state. But don'tt mention that to Colin...he is really superstitious. But the real story is how cute Cason looked. He had on an actual Carl Albert sweatshirt and he looked really cute. Don't you think?
